Night Cycling

Ahoy!

It's SP Rovers! After spending the special night with us, we are bringing you yet another exciting event! This time, we will cycle around Singapore, giving you a whole new perspective on our very own country.

Where and when is the event held?
The meeting venue will be at East Coast Park Mcdonald's,7pm on 30th May 2009, Saturday. However, if you do not know how to get there, you may meet us at Bedok MRT station at 6.30pm instead. Please inform us time ahead if you are meeting us at the MRT.

What can I see along the route?
Everything and anything you wanna see! We'll be cycling on park connectors and those alike from East Coast Park to town area.

How much will it cost?
The fees will be $8, inclusive of refreshment and bike rental.

Can I ride my own bike?
Yes, of course! You may do so if you're comfortable with it!

I'm interested! How do I make the payment?
Those who have not paid, please do so before the event. We are accepting payments at our clubhouse everyday, from today onwards. Our clubhouse PC1218 is beside poly centre (badminton hall), right above Food court 3. If you cannot find your way, feel free to call Sharon @ 90618609.

"The ROVER section of the Scout Movement is open to young Men and women aged between 17 and 26 years, and you don't have to have been a member of the Scout or Guide Movements previously to join. Outdoor activities such as bushwalking, caving, canoeing, ski-touring, rock-climbing and scuba-diving are all an important part of many Rover Crews' calendars. Rovers will develop your ability to lead other young people to adventure, and you will appreciate the value of helping other people. The word "service" is synonymous with Rovering.

The friends you make in Rovers will be lifelong ones. You will plan and manage your Crew's activities, and learn the value of teamwork and co-operation.

ROVERS ALUMNIS

The Singapore Polytechnic Rovers Alumni was formed on 22 October 97 by a bunch of SP graduates whom were active members of the SP Rovers.

The Alumni serves to provide a means for alumni members to maintain contact with each other even after they had graduated from SP Rovers, thereby creating a forum for social interaction. They also encourage a continuing interest in SP Rovers among the alumni members, thus bringing the alumni members closer to SP Rovers.

If you were previously a member of SP Rovers and would like to further your spirit of Rovering, please contact the the Alumni. And with the launch of the "Friends of Alumni" program, everyone else who are interested in our activities is more than welcome to join us.

Just a quick introduction about myself. As you would have already known by now that I'm from 11th Ex-Co, currently doing B.Commerce (Hons) in University of Queensland.

From Neil's email, I understand that the first year Rovers have just completed the BTC. My salute to all of you and the instructors who have put in paramount effort to ensure that the tradition is kept.

By completing this intensive course, you are now part of this big family. The camp would have instilled you with the necessary Scouting knowledge, ethics, principles which will carry you throughout your life. Indeed, many will agree with me that Rovers has laid a strong foundation of character. I shall not bore you with all these old stories. In no time, you will be sitting in my position looking back at the old days.

To the current Ex-Co and webmaster, this site awesome. Keep up the good work and hopefully I will be able to meet up with you during the mass makan session.
